Description Recent reports in the literature have highlighted the importance of safety in affecting outcome in patient morbidity and mortality. This timely issue covers all of the issues affecting safety in the critical care and intensive care units and emergency department, including training, medication, regulations, infection control, electronic medical records, and system organization.
